Rachel Schenk Martin, MSc.,
Registered Psychotherapist
You deserve safe, supportive mental health care.
I believe that you are the expert in your life. You know your circumstances, your resources, and your situation the best. I am here to support and work with you to establish your preferred future.
I believe in human resiliency, and the necessity of human connection and relationships.
I believe every person has value and intrinsic worth. I work from a strengths-based stance, and seek to understand each person’s individual strengths, talents, and unique skills.
I believe diversity is a strength, and that collaboration and universal respect are essential.
I value personal accountability and strive for constant improvement.
I believe in science and evidence-based practice. I work with approaches that are supported by science, and shown to be effective.
I am also someone who is open and vocal about my lived experiences, which inform my psychotherapy practice. I am proudly queer, I am openly neurodivergent, and I move through life in a disabled body.
When I am not practicing psychotherapy, I also work as a celebrant and wedding officiant. In my downtime, I enjoy cross-stitching, quilting, and drag, and watching The Lord of the Rings and actual-play Dungeons and Dragons games.
